CBD Aqua +

CBD Aqua+ is a water-soluble CBD formula in nanoemulsion — CBD molecules are encapsulated in nanoparticles of reduced size (20 to 100 nanometres) that disperse easily in water. The major limitation of standard CBD (oil) is its low oral bioavailability (4 to 20%) due to its lipophilic nature and hepatic first-pass metabolism. Nanoemulsion technology can increase CBD bioavailability up to 4 to 5 times according to comparative studies, with faster absorption (15 to 30 minutes vs 45 to 90 minutes for oil).

Unlike sublingual CBD oil, CBD Aqua+ mixes easily into water, juices, smoothies or any cold or hot liquid. No oily residue, no pronounced hemp taste, no sublingual technique required. Add the recommended dose (indicated on the packaging) to your daily drink and consume normally. It is the most discreet and versatile form for integration into any wellness routine.

Not necessarily more powerful, but more effective at an equivalent dose in terms of the amount absorbed into the blood. With 4 to 5 times higher bioavailability, 10 mg of CBD in nanoemulsion can have an effect equivalent to 40 to 50 mg of standard CBD oil. This can represent significant savings and a more predictable experience of effects for regular users. The nanoemulsion may also reach the brain more quickly via the bloodstream.

CBD has been authorised by WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) since 2018 — CBD alone is not on the list of prohibited substances. The nanoemulsion is generally stable at moderate temperatures (up to 70–80°C), but intense heat can degrade certain cannabinoids. To preserve all the actives, add the CBD Aqua+ to a hot drink at the end of preparation (after pouring into your cup) rather than during cooking or in a boiling liquid.

Yes, as with all forms of CBD. CBD inhibits cytochromes P450 (CYP3A4 and CYP2D6) involved in the hepatic metabolism of many medications. This interaction is potentially more pronounced with water-soluble CBD due to its increased bioavailability. Absolutely consult your doctor if you take anticoagulants, anticonvulsants, immunosuppressants or other medications metabolised by CYP450.

Same contraindications as CBD oils: pregnancy and breastfeeding not recommended, children without specialised medical prescription, drug interactions (see above). The increased bioavailability of Aqua+ implies particular attention to drug interactions and for people sensitive to CBD effects (drowsiness, drop in blood pressure).
